"I always felt that I was in good hands at Lugaia," says Marianne Lochmatter in an interview on the occasion of her forthcoming retirement. You will also get to know, why she worked for the company Lugaia for more than 15 years.
About Marianne:
Dear Marianne, you will be retiring in the next few days. How do you feel?
I feel great! I leave with a laughing and a crying eye. On the one hand I am looking forward to the future and on the other hand I will certainly miss my work and my colleagues.
What were your tasks in the Lugaia company?
I worked in the production. My work mainly consisted of folding liners.
What did you particularly like about your work?
The physical work, the "being in motion". It is a clean and beautiful work. I've always enjoyed going to work.
You have been with Lugaia since December 1st, 2007, more than 15 years. Why have you stayed with the company for so long?
Because I really enjoyed doing the work and I felt well received.
How did you come to Lugaia in the first place?
When my children were older, I wanted to work again. Käthy, who worked at Lugaia herself at the time, told me about the company. I then asked Käthy if there was still a vacancy. And that's how I came to Lugaia. A big thank you to Viktor for giving me this opportunity.
You even worked one year longer than your actual retirement, why?
Because I enjoyed working and wasn't mentally ready to stop. This year has been good for me because now I feel ready for retirement.
How has the Lugaia company changed in recent years?
The company has changed a lot in a positive way. Today we not only have a lot more employees, but also a lot more space. In the beginning, only one person had access to the clean room. Production has always been optimized and further developed for the benefit of the employees. It's gotten lighter, easier and better.
What was your best experience at Lugaia?
Uff... that's a difficult question. I have always felt that I was in good hands at Lugaia. It is a nice “togetherness”, a very human interaction. If you have something on your mind, you can bring it up. We also went on many great trips together, which I will always remember fondly.
Do you already have plans for your retirement?
No, nothing concrete. We have a house with a garden, a dog and vines, so there is always something to do. I would also like to go on a few day trips in nature and simply enjoy the free time I have gained.
What do you wish Lugaia for the future?
I wish Lugaia continued positive development, that the company will be as successful in the future as it is today. And also that the colleagues continue to have a great time at Lugaia. Just all the luck in the world!
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of commitment and loyalty. We will miss you! We wish you and your family all the best for the future and you, dear Marianne, above all, much joy and good health in your well-deserved retirement.
