Celebrating Ten Years: Milestones of Lugaia Deutschland GmbH

An interview with Managing Director Thomas Weingartner

In 2015, Lugaia established its German branch in Ingolstadt, near Munich. Since then, under the leadership of Thomas Weingartner, Lugaia Deutschland GmbH has continuously evolved and made significant contributions to Lugaia's international success.

To mark the 10-year anniversary, we reflect with Thomas Weingartner on the beginnings, challenges, and achievements of the past decade and discuss the future prospects of the German branch.

Interview with the Managing Director of Lugaia Deutschland GmbH

How did it all begin 10 years ago? What were the initial steps in setting up the branch?

It was an exciting time. As a young father, I had the opportunity to join a company and establish an independent branch. We found premises in the start-up center in Ingolstadt, which provided substantial support during the founding phase. This laid the foundation for a successful future.

Which particular milestones or successes from that time stand out in your memory?

The establishment of Lugaia Deutschland GmbH, including the notarization process, is certainly an experience that will always stay with me. In daily operations, it's fulfilling to present solutions to customers for their challenges and see these solutions implemented in their manufacturing processes.

What has been your personal highlight over the past 10 years?

Due to consistent growth, additional sales personnel and support became necessary. Hiring the first employee and developing them in line with Lugaia's values was a special personal milestone.

How has the product and service offering changed over the past 10 years?

We operate in a very dynamic market. Regulatory thresholds are continually being raised, and the demands for operator and product protection are constantly increasing. Additionally, our products are often custom-made for clients, requiring a high degree of flexibility within the company. Thanks to our innovative team, we have risen to this challenge and are able to set trends within the industry.

What goals or aspirations do you have for the next 10 years at Lugaia?

I aim for us to continue being successful and to maintain the ability to adapt our products to the evolving demands of the times, thereby remaining a leading provider of containment solutions.
